Meat productivity and quality of broiler chicken meat when applying various doses of M-feed feed additive in the composition of combined feed
نویسندگان
چکیده
The article presents the results of feeding broiler chickens with different doses feed additive "M-feed". It was found out that use optimal dosage "M-feed" in chickens' diets contributed to an increase absolute gain by 7.7%, average daily 7.6%, and gutted carcass weight 12.9%, contrast control group.

Effect of functional feed ingredients on the quantity and quality of chicken meat and egg
Both chicken meat and egg is excellent foodstuff due to their compositions of amino acids, monoand polyunsaturated fatty acids and vitamins. There is evidence that functional feed ingredients can improve the meat yield and egg quality (Patten and Waldroup, 1988; Izat et al., 1991; Mahfudz et al., 1996). In this study, we examine the effect of feed ingredients such as ethanolic extract of shochu...
متن کاملUse of Vitamin D3 and Its Metabolites in Broiler Chicken Feed on Performance, Bone Parameters and Meat Quality
The objective of this experiment was to assess the use of different vitamin D metabolites in the feed of broiler chickens and the effects of the metabolites on performance, bone parameters and meat quality. A total of 952 one-day-old male broiler chicks were distributed in a completely randomised design, with four treatments, seven replicates and 34 birds per experimental unit. The treatments c...
متن کاملLauric acid as feed additive – An approach to reducing Campylobacter spp. in broiler meat
The increasing prevalence of Campylobacter spp. within broiler populations is a major problem for food safety and consumer protection worldwide. In vitro studies could already demonstrate that Campylobacter spp. are susceptible to lauric acid. The purpose of this study was to examine in vivo the influence of lauric acid as a feed additive on slaughter parameters, muscle fatty acid profile, meat...
متن کاملSlaughter yield and meat quality of chicken at different length of preslaughter feed withdrawal
In the European Community, per-head consumption of chicken meat is steadily rising. Many consumers attempt eating more healthy products (BICKEL and WETSCHEREK, 2005) and that is why chicken meat with its low fat content is often preferred to beef or pig meat. Also events like the BSE-crisis or abuse of antibiotics in pig production, which are very present in the media, might lead the customers ...
متن کاملEffect of Ochratoxin A on Body Weight, Feed Intake and Feed Conversion in Broiler Chicken
The effect of ochratoxin A (OA) on the body weight, feed intake, and feed conversion was investigated in broiler chicken fed dietary levels of OA at 0, 1, and 2 ppm for 28 days from hatch. Feeding OA significantly reduced the growth rate of broiler chicken. The reduction was observed from the first week onwards in OA-treated groups. Feed consumption and feed conversion also showed a diminishing...
